Shivani Rai is a 25 year old Indian American woman who has it all a successful career as a recruiter in Silicon Valley, loving family, raucous best friend, and doting investment banker fiancé.

But when her father’s sudden stroke devastates the family, Shivani’s entire world crumbles. Her “workaholic” fiancé cheats with Miss Lavender Panties from his office. Her family’s business starts failing miserably. And her ultra-conservative, spinster aunt moves in with a mission to wreak havoc on Shivani’s life.

As she sifts through this wreckage, she feels broken. A 25 year old woman who feels 40 until she meets a free-spirited 40 year old man…Alan Nicolaisen, a Type 1 diabetic high school teacher. With his help, she learns to overcome her fears and take chances. Hike a mountain with a racy dress clinging to her body. Eat spaghetti squash. Prank call her ex fiancé and swear at him (Okay, maybe not the smartest move!). Start a nonprofit for children’s education. And laugh and love.

Enchanted Silence is about opening your heart and living life in the best way possible, even in difficult circumstances, embracing every moment, and ultimately following the enchanted silence of your soul.

For anyone who likes realistic fiction, this story is "Enchanting". Enjoyed reading it.
This book leaves you wanting for more. What starts of as a regular novel soon turns out to be a eye opener in life lessons. It changes perspectives on life goals and makes you revisit you own. Very well written. Already looking forward to a sequel.
Thanks for this Pri.
Powerful and thought provoking, embracing humanity for all its highs and lows. This novel follows the journey of a Shivani whose personality was ever-changing as she faced hardships and successes in life, a journey that many women can relate to. The cultural identity exposes a rare snapshot within the South Asian community. I would highly recommend this book to all!
Very gripping novel! One of the best books I've read in a long time and some parts are actually relatable. Totally worth the read and indeed very "enchanting". Look forward to more books by this author!
This book really touched my heart. Entire time I was reading it, it felt like it was my story being told. I felt every emotions while reading the book and I found myself with tears rolling down my cheeks on multiple occasion. I love that this book went from emotions of feeling helpless and confused to finally finding the courage to make an effort to chase one's dream. I think the worst way of living life is not being hopeful because you stop moving the day hope dies. And this book is such a good read for girls in their 20s to know you are not alone and life is beautiful. It is what we make of it. Thank you author Priyanka for sharing your journey with us. )
